The Challenge

The Hero Hangout is one of the first VR arcades, born from the idea of allowing everyone access to experience the latest technology. They needed a brand that would help them communicate their story, clarify their message, and bring in the curious.

Our Approach

The experience of VR can only be described as a out-of-world experience. It allows anyone to escape the world for a bit and 'Explore A New Reality'.

We wanted to get draw people in with curiosity and intrigued with a hint of mystery..

Brand Experience

Past meets future

We introduced nostalgia of the arcade in the 80’s and 90’s to elicit a fun and youthful vibe. With the same sights and sounds, the designs bring visitors forward in time with the modern tech, and back in time to carefree childhood and uninhibited curiosity. The AfterHours team took our vision and crafted a brand strategy and identity that helped us launch our VR arcade. They were never short on ideas of how to ensure every visitor had a great experience. They mapped our user personas, uncovered our unique positioning, and executed with incredible design and web experiences.

They took us from an idea to reality, at a time when opening our doors was top priority and they exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to work with them again.
